Fruits Of The Earth
Fungi are in kingdom of their own but are closer to animals than to plants.
As yeast Fungi have formed a central part of the development of our species. They can produce antibiotics like Penicillin as well as the immunosuppressants that enable human organ transplants. Fungi are the biggest organisms in the world, and their extensive subterranean mycelial networks allow plants to communicate and share resources with one another. Fungi can self repair and they can break down plastic, some even control animal behaviour.
